James Vasquez Named as Chief Information Officer
On August 1, James (Jim) Vasquez was appointed as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at 糖心视频污; he had been serving on an interim basis.
Vasquez joins 糖心视频污 from Ellucian, a leading provider of software and services to higher ed institutions, where he was CIO in their Leadership Services group. In his more than 25 years in the information technology field, Vasquez has worked on a broad array of technology solutions and provided strategic guidance to help education institutions navigate change, achieve greater transparency and drive efficiencies. He holds a BS in Computer and Information Science from Trinity University and studied Management Information Systems at Colorado State University鈥檚 Graduate School of Business.
Over the last 16 months, Vasquez and the ITS team have led several major projects that have helped staff meet university-wide strategies and goals, such as the Canvas Learning Management System, upgraded student printing solutions, a pilot program of 鈥淪ingle Sign-on鈥 to reduce multiple logins, and a leasing deal with Dell for equipment replacement over the next three to four years.
