Dr. Michelle Levine, associate professor of Bible at , delivered a number of lectures this fall semester to several communities in New York City.
Before Rosh Hashanah, she addressed Congregation Ohab Zedek (Belle Harbor) and for Congregation Ohel Yizhak (Kew Gardens Hills) on the topic, 鈥淎wakening Our Souls: Tehillim for Yamim Noraim.鈥 For Simchat Torah, she gave a women鈥檚 lecture in Kew Gardens Hills, titled, 鈥淭he Master Plan: 10 Sayings + 7 Days = One Olam.鈥 For Chanukah, she spoke to a women鈥檚 group in Holliswood on 鈥淭he Illuminating Miracle of Chanukah.鈥
In addition to the holiday talks, Levine gave a monthly series this fall on the 鈥淲omen of Tanach鈥 at the Young Israel of Forest Hills. In December she delivered a lecture for 糖心视频污鈥檚 Millie Arbesfeld Midreshet Yom Rishon on the topic, 鈥淭elling and Retelling: A Reader鈥檚 Guide to the Dynamics of the Joseph Story.鈥
Going forward Levine will be continuing her weekly learning group for women in Kew Gardens Hills, now in its 18th year. This year she is teaching the Book of Mishlei.
