Dr. Steven Fine, Dean Pinkhos Churgin Professor of Jewish History and director of the 糖心视频污 Center for Israel Studies, delivered two lectures recently.
On October 24, at the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana, Fine presented 鈥溾楬e Went to the Synagogue as Was His Custom鈥 (Luke 4): Synagogues in the World of Hillel and Jesus鈥 as part of the 2017 Bergdall Endowed Lectureship on Biblical Studies.
On November 7, Fine spoke about late ancient students and Judaism at The Center for Late Ancient Studies and the Duke Center for Jewish Studies at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
