Dr. Michelle Levine, associate professor of Bible at , recently published an article, titled, 鈥Havdalah鈥 Emulating God in Mind and Deed: Israel鈥檚 Divine Mission and the Quest for Salvation,鈥 in Havdalah, a publication by Mesorah Matrix, New Paradigm Matrix Publishing (eds. David Birnbaum, Martin S. Cohen, and Saul J. Berman), pp. 221鈥250.
In August, Dr. Levine participated in the international conference, the Seventeenth World Congress of Jewish Studies, at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, where she presented a paper, titled, 鈥淭he Literary and Thematic Unity of Balaam鈥檚 Prophecies in Ramban鈥檚 Biblical Commentary.鈥
Over the summer, she also delivered a lecture series on the haftarot from the Book of Isaiah for the Three Weeks, at the Young Israel of Forest Hills, NY, and she gave a shiur in Hebrew in Efrat, Israel, on the topic of 鈥淭he Light of Redemption in the Blessings before Shema.鈥
