Dr. Steven Fine, Dean Pinchos Churgin Professor of Jewish History and director of the , published a piece in AJS Perspectives, the magazine for the Association of Jewish Studies. Fine was a founding editor of the publication.
In a Forum on Pedagogy on the subject of 鈥,鈥 Fine explained that in his classes, students encounter sources not studied in yeshivot and, most importantly, learn new ways to look at sources that they already know. 鈥淢y larger goal is that these students someday apply learning from my course in their own lives.鈥
