Dr. Eric Goldman, adjunct professor of cinema, posted a review of a new Israeli film, 鈥淭he Wedding Plan,鈥 by director Rama Burshtein, in the .
In an interview with Goldman, Burshtein said she was tired of seeing film portraits of her ultra-Orthodox Israeli community in a negative light and decided to add a voice that she felt was missing. Her 2012 film, 鈥淔ill the Void,鈥 won the Israeli Ophir Award as the best film of that year and went on to play at the New York Film Festival. Goldman will be teaching a course on Israeli cinema at in Fall 2017.
