Gonzalez Co-Authors Article in Special Issue of American Psychologist

Dr. Jeffrey Gonzalez, associate professor at and the Diabetes Research Center of , has co-authored an article in a special issue of American Psychologist, titled 鈥淒iabetes and Psychology.鈥 The issue reviews the current and potential contributions of psychological science to the well-being of people with or at risk of developing diabetes.
In 鈥淧sychosocial Factors in Medication Adherence and Diabetes Self-Management: Implications for Research and Practice,鈥 Dr. Gonzalez, along with his co-authors Dr. Molly Tanenbaum of Stanford University and Dr. Persis Commissariat of the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, examines the evidence for how select psychosocial factors, including knowledge and beliefs, emotional distress and well-being and behavior skills and coping, can affect people鈥檚 ability to manage their diabetes.
