Dr. Jonathan Feldman, professor of psychology at and assistant clinical professor of epidemiology and population health at , recently co-authored an article on 鈥淧sychological treatment of comorbid asthma and panic disorder in Latino adults: Results from a randomized controlled trial,鈥 published in Behaviour Research and Therapy 87 (2016), pp. 142 to 154.
The study investigated how confusions between panic and asthma symptoms can result in serious self-management errors and the ways cognitive behavior psychophysiological therapy and music and relaxation therapy can provide effective interventions, including better compliance with medication regimens.
