Fine Receives Shohat Grant from International Catacomb Society

Dr. Steven Fine, Dr. Pinkhos Churgin Professor of Jewish History and director of ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµÎÛ's , was recently awarded a $6,500 Shohat grant by the for his research with the . The grant will fund Fine's work in Rome this summer. Fine has also been invited to contribute a popular article on the Digital Restoration Project to Biblical Archaeology Review.
In addition, he recently spoke at the Getty Research Conference, "Object-Value-Canon," which took place in Los Angeles, California, from May 12-13. Fine's topic was "Experiencing the Arch of Titus: Canon, Polychromy and the Flavian Triumph."
ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµÎÛ students will also travel to Rome in June with the and for courses in art and Jewish history.​​
